This training is meant for professionals who wish to expand their knowledge in the field of cannabis biotechnology. It is structured as an advanced academic course, spread over four in person modules of three hours each, followed by individual and group assignments to complete between modules.

Attendance of the modules, completion of the assignments and a final test result in a certification assessing the acquired degree of knowledge and skills.

The modules have been designed to gradually introduce participants to cannabis and cannabinoids through the history and evolution of the plant and eventually cover today’s hot topics in cannabinoids biochemistry and genomics.

Learning units rely on extensive scientific literature and are exemplified by research conducted at Leiden University. With every module a set of scientific papers will be shared on web platform where participants will complete assignments and engage in dialogue with the instructor and with fellow course members.

This training is particularly attractive for professionals involved in the fields of cannabis science, breeding, extractions, cultivation, R&D, pharmaceuticals, medicine, and for decision makers.
